As the exclusive dealer for Marex Boats in the Balearic Islands, here at Berthon Spain we are very excited about the first Marex 330 Scandinavia to arrive in Mallorca.
Her primary voyage was a varied one. The boat was carefully shipped from Marex in Lithuania by road. She was expertly protected for the journey, so that she arrived in immaculate condition and was ready for immediate presentation. The yacht was unloaded at sun rise in STP shipyard and has now been transferred to our “Big Blue Shed”, where she can be easily viewed. Initial feedback from prospective buyers has been overwhelmingly positive!
The Marex 330 Scandinavia was awarded the accolade of 2022 European Power Boat of the Year in her class. In terms of specification, she offers the 2 x Mercury 270 HP Diesel engines, which are upgraded with the Axius premium features, including a Joystick docking system, digital anchor and integrated autopilot. Her navigation equipment includes 2 x Simrad NSS12 evo3S chart plotters, radar and camera positioned over the aft deck.
The digital anchor is a great feature for the Balearics, as it allows you to hold position automatically when deploying the anchor in a crowded anchorage and also to comply with legislation protecting the local fields of seagrass, known as Posidonia Oceanica. Posidonia is vital to the local marine eco system and is responsible for the beautiful clear waters that we enjoy in the Mediterranean. Any technology that takes steps to preserve this natural wonder has our full support!
This example of the Marex 330 Scandinavia has been specified with the long bathing platform option, full teak laid decks and solar panels, which can be used to keep the fridges powered during extended periods at anchor. The foredeck sun pad can be deployed into the water as a floating swim platform. Further upgrades include the folding transom seat, which is the perfect place to relax close to the water.
She also benefits from a de-mister system, diesel fired heating system and air conditioning in both cabins with an additional air con outlet in the cockpit saloon.
Berthon Spain offer a meticulous handover and preparation process for all new Marex Boats. The boats arrive perfectly presented from Marex after being fully protected for shipment. Upon arrival at our facility, they are carefully un-wrapped and meticulously rechecked by our experienced in-house yacht care and engineering teams. This will include calibration of electronics and a PDC sea trial with the engine manufacturer.
On handover with the lucky new owner, we re-run through all the yachts systems to make sure the client is happy with the boats condition, and ensure they are fully informed of the correct and safe operation of the boat.
